Sierra Nevada BrewerySierra Nevada Brewing Company was proudly founded in Chico and continues to call Chico home. The brewery on E. 20th Street is perfect for beer enthusiasts or anyone searching for a nice lunch or dinner. The brewery offers a restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, a bar, gift shop, and free tours. We recommend signing up early in the day for a late afternoon tour, followed by an early dinner before the crowds arrive!

The BansheeThe Banshee is a fun pub in the heart of downtown with excellent food and a great beer list. It is a good place for families during lunch and great for those looking to explore the downtown nightlife. We recommend coming to watch a San Francisco Giants game if they are in the playoffs during the week of the wedding!

Madison Bear GardenThe Bear is a Chico classic that has been serving Chico residents and visitors for over 30 years. An infamous Chico icon, it is located downtown and serves awesome bar food, along with excellent drink specials. We recommend bringing the whole family for an early dinner or coming at night for a late drink, snack, and full Chico experience!

Shubert's Ice Cream & CandyShubert's Ice Cream & Candy has been a Chico classic for more than 75 years. It is the perfect place to go to satisfy your sweet tooth, or beat the heat. Their ice cream, floats, milkshakes, and candy are arguably the best in Chico. We recommend going to Shubert's after dinner or shopping in downtown Chico!

Morning Thunder CafeMorning Thunder Cafe has become a Chico institute for brunch. Expect to wait for a little while for a table, but know that the wait is well worth it. Morning Thunder Cafe is located just outside of downtown and is a perfect place to eat at a well-known Chico establishment. We recommend arriving early and bringing a newspaper with you while you wait!

Mom'sMom's is an ideal place for brunch. They are located downtown across from Madison Bear Garden and offer both indoor and outdoor seating. Their brunch options are hard to beat and will certainly fill you up for most of the day. We recommend having brunch on the outside patio if the weather is beautiful!

Bidwell Park
Lower and Upper Bidwell Park are essential locations for those looking to spend time outdoors. Lower Bidwell Park lies in the heart of Chico and features running trails, bike paths, and playgrounds. Upper Bidwell Park features countless hiking and biking trails that hug along the rim and bottom of Big Chico Creek Canyon, providing spectacular views of Chico and the central valley. We recommend taking a frisbee down to One Mile in Lower Park or taking a sunrise/sunset hike along the North Rim at Upper Park!
